My niece got this as a first birthday gift. She went straight to figuring out how to stack and sort it. I love how I feel safe not worrying about splinters pricking her or slaves from far shores building her toys.
I have three children with very different interests, and they have all _loved_ this toy. I love it too! It's beautiful, very safe, and engaging. (They even like it as first graders, making patterns with the different colors.) I've ordered maybe eight of these over time, because it's my very favorite gift to special little people turning one. Order one! You'll make a small person very happy.
This is one of the best made, most engaging toys I've ever seen for babies and children. My granddaughters have used it from the time they could hold something (and put in mouth), for stacking on pegs, sorting and naming colors, counting and simple math, imaginary money or other tokens, play food, building blocks, finger puppets, and the list continues. The toy still looks brand new after 3 years of heavy use. I just bought another one for family with a new grandbaby. Excellent quality from Papa Don!
